Breandán Delap 5 March 2017

Breandán Delap was born in Gaoth Dobhair in 1965. He received a a degree in Education from Our Lady of Mercy College, Carysfort and a Master’s degree in Irish from The National University of Ireland, Maynooth. He is a programme editor for Nuacht TG4 / RTÉ and a reviewer of plays for The Irish Times in the West of Ireland.

Olivia has illustrated over 22 books for children specifically along with a variety of covers and books for adults. Her work has exhibited internationally as part of Pictiúr, an exhibition curated by the Laureat na nÓg Niamh Sharkey, showcasing the best of Irish children’s book illustration.

Her MA thesis was published in 1992, entitled Filí agus Cléir san Ochtú hAois Déag (An Clóchomhar, 1992). She worked with homeless people in England for three years…

Alex Hijmans was born in Holland. He moved to Ireland when he was twenty years of age, at which point he began learning Irish. He spent twelve years in Galway, working in various Irish media, before moving to Brazil, where he now works as an international correspondent.
