Dr Regina Uí Chollatáin is from Letterkenny in Donegal. She has an MA from the University of Ireland, Maynooth, where she finished her PhD in 2002 with an IRCHSS scholarship. She obtained the National University of Ireland Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Irish Studies and Celtic Studies in 2003. She is a Head and associate Professor of the school of Modern Irish, Celtic Studies and Ireland’s Folklore at University College, Dublin. Her primary areas of research are the Revival Period, Irish language print and broadcast media, Irish language cinema; modern literature in Irish and criticism. She was a Visiting Senior Professor for the Ireland Canada University Foundation between 2011 and 2012, and was a member of the TG4 Board from 2007 to 2012. She has won Oireachtas prizes for her research works and has published articles in academic journals on the research topics above.
